All levels are welcome to join Lauren Raquel and Valarie Anderson, both 200 hour registered teachers, on an adventurous three day, two night weekend of yoga, hiking, meditation, and relaxation. Combining their experiences in yoga, athletics, and life these two teachers aim to present a retreat for the young and venturesome at heart. Meals and lodging (with cabin and camping options) are included with the great outdoors and good company. The retreat is located in beautiful Ten Sleep, Wyoming at the south end of the Bighorn National Forest on 50 acres of land.

Schedule of Events:
Friday- Welcome dinner and meet your fellow retreat guests, bedtime meditation.
Saturday- Ashtanga workshop, breakfast, reflective meditation and journaling, Inversion and Balance workshop, picnic lunch and plant walk, philosophy and asana Q&A, down time, dinner.
Sunday- Sun Salutations, breakfast, hike and yoga in nature, good byes.
What to Expect:
Classes- All we ask is that you bring an open mind to try new physical and mental ideas based in yoga tradition. Experiences and levels of our participants will vary. Count on us to guide you through the workshops and meditations with honor for where your body is on the mat that day! Modifications and props will be available at length. You are welcome to decline participating in any activity at any time during your stay.
Grounds- The Ten Sleep Rock Ranch is located on 50 acres of land. Campsites come with picnic tables, fire rings, and shade underneath over 100 apple trees. The bathhouse includes restrooms, coin operated showers, a sink for both washing dishes and filling drinking containers, as well as a community fridge. There is a social area canopy with wifi access and electrical outlets for charging phones and other devices, as well as an information board that lists local events and town resources. The Ten Sleep creek is available for wading and swimming, but not bathing.
Food- Our chefs will be offering food based on our guests needs and interests. Gluten free, vegetarian, and vegan are options. Saturday and Sunday breakfasts will be light, including fruit and grains. Saturday’s lunch will leave you satisfied, but not full with sandwiches and salads on the menu. The two evening meals on Friday and Saturday are planned to be lengthy for enjoying each others company with tantalizing conversation topics. Alcohol is not provided.
Pre Event- Guests will need to fill out a waiver, provide an emergency contact, and fill out our pre event survey so that we can prepare for all our attendees needs. An email will be sent out closer to the event listing all the final details. We are also available before to answer all of your questions.

What to Bring:
Yoga mat, towel, water bottle/bladder, sunscreen, hat/sunglasses, hike/run shoes, and layers for cold and wet weather just in case.
Suggestions- mala beads, blocks, straps, bathing suit, and personal snacks.
More Questions and Answers:
Minimum and maximum attendee requirements- There must be 7 registered attendees by August 31st or the retreat will be cancelled with full refunds offered. There is a maximum of 10 attendees, with a first come first served basis on cabin and camping lodging options.
Cancellation policy and payment options- Within the first week of payment cancellation is available with a 75% refund offered. After 7 days there are no cancellations. Transfers are an option, please contact us for details. Full payment is required upon registration.
Booking extended stay, before or after the retreat- If you would like to camp or rent a cabin before or after the event dates contact us for further details.
Other activities to enjoy in the Bighorn and basin area- Rock climbing, hiking, trail running, mountain bike riding, hunting, bird and animal watching.

Insured instructors- Both Valarie and Lauren are certified and insured. Waiver must be signed to participate in all retreat activities.
Lauren Raquel Dunn grew up in the mountains of northern Utah. She migrated to Montana almost a decade ago where she was introduced to a traditional Ashtanga yoga practice and has been practicing ever since. Her formal education in ecology led her to work as a field botanist for several years, which lead to deeper discoveries of all the medicinal herbs growing all around us! Now her primary focus in life is promoting health and wellness through various activities. Her favorite things to teach are snow sports, herbalism, and yoga. Yoga continues to compliment her athletic life, as a climber and back country snowboarder, and she loves sharing this practice with others through teaching. Valarie Tes Anderson moved to Ten Sleep, Wyoming to slow down her pace of life. Originally from California she was raised to love camping, fishing, and the outdoors. Running and rock climbing are her favorites ways to enjoy nature. Over the years both activities lead to small injuries due to imbalances in her body. She found yoga to heal and restore the physical and mental harmony within. Once a kindergarten teacher, she loves to teach those beginning their yoga practice. Her personal practice tends to lead her toward inversions and fun arm balancing poses. Now she owns and manages the Ten Sleep Rock Ranch with her husband and climbing partner, where they host campers on the grounds and in cabins. Chantel Alcaraz will be preparing the two delicious dinners we will be experiencing Friday and Saturday night. Originally from Wyoming, Chantel now lives in Goa, India teaching students at Trimurti Yoga. We are very fortunate to be able to have her as our evening chef while she visits family and studios around the state.
The dinner meals will be created using ancient ayurvedic principles. Chantel will introduce you to the elements we are all made of, and the energies within called doshas (vata, pitta, and kapha) that control the balance in our bodies. All of the food will be allergen free for guests with any concerns listed on their Participant Questionnaire. It will also be as fresh and as local as we can obtain. Although ayurveda sounds very fancy by name, the food items will be common to most diets.
